Last supper
Tonight was our last dinner a bittersweet paradox considering my feelings for her it was like celebrating chickenpox.
It was the best thing I never wanted to do God’s perfect will is not always easy I say goodbye to one relationship & embrace something new I pray that God’s love will appease me
Then I think of a similar event A supper of bread and wine And a similar decision, that allows us to repent And makes His kingdom mine
And as I cry, I think of a man of the Jewish race Who asked God if there was another way With a tear in His eye and a smile on His face He left His will behind, said “Father, I’ll do what you say.”
His last supper is my greatest blessing With peace and love Christ accepted the call Our last supper was…a blossoming, a loosening of the petals, so that our seed might fall.
